The
CDE Methodology
The Center for Distribution Education is a new concept in distribution training/ education. It not only uses the power of the Internet to provide a cost effective, logistically simple delivery system, but it adds the force of streaming audio to deliver concepts in a powerful, multisensory package. At the same time CDE builds on a methodology proved effective in the 60s and 70s: the techniques of programmed instruction and the tools of interactive learning. The CDE Training Model includes all of these tools for enhanced learning. Streaming audio supported by graphics provides a multisensory learning experience. The learner is engaged through frequent opportunities to test his or her understanding, and if he or she does not demonstrate an understanding of a concept, additional information is provided in the remediation loop.
