The Center for Distribution Education is designed to provide
a comprehensive curriculum for distribution delivered via the
Internet. The courses are created specifically for distribution.
Web-based training provides a number of benefits. It eliminates
the logistical problems that often hamper training programs;
the training is available to the learner whenever he or she
wants to take it. Because there are examinations, it provides
a level of accountability beyond most distributor training;
not only do you know that the employee received the training,
you know what he or she learned. The time required to complete
the training is substantially less than with other delivery
systems, and because the training provides the presentation
of the concepts, testing for those concepts, and remediation
when the concept is not properly understood, it produces more
actual learning.
For the training administrator CDE provides a number of additional
advantages. Once a student is enrolled in a CDE course, his
or her progress through the course can be tracked. The administrator
is notified if the student does not begin the course within
30 days of enrollment or complete it within 60 days of enrollment.
When the student completes the course and takes the final examination,
the administrator receives the examination grade.
As it completes its curriculum, CDE will provide an excellent,
effective and economical medium for providing basic education
and training to all of the employees, both management and functional
area.
